• PUBLISHED :: Well Wed, Spring/Summer 2010.

A few months ago, a handful of talented Nantucket wedding professionals gathered together at the Jared Coffin House to set up a delicious photo shoot for my favorite wedding periodical, Well Wed Magazine. Lisa Frey of Nantucket Event Media was on hand to grab some video of us doing what we do best. Here's Lisa's video, featuring Jennifer Shepherd (Placesetters), Dawn Kelly (Soiree Floral), Kim Reed (A Taste of Nantucket), Jodi Levesque (Jodi's Cakes), and myself, with stationary by Marty Kelly Paper and styling help by the Well Wed staff Caroline and Krista.

I just received my copies of the Spring/Summer 2010 issue and I'm in love. Truly. The sorbet inspired editorial as well as Julie and Will's wedding look fabulous. Be sure to pick one up for yourself! CLICK HERE for an online flip book of the issue.

Enjoy!

• Nantucket Summer Internship Available.

Are you looking for a summer internship on Nantucket??

Wedding season is right around the corner. With over 20 weddings and 40 portrait sessions a year, I'm a bit busy.

I need someone with the following qualifications:
• strong mac computer skills
• strong knowledge in Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom
• excellent organization

This position is available May-October, but I need Memorial Day-Labor Day at the very least. Flexible, 15-20 hours a week. Responsibilities include RAW processing, file organization and backup from my Main St office.

If you are also an aspiring photographer, tagging along on portrait sessions is a possibility. This opportunity is perfect for a photography student looking for experience in the field while still having time for fun on the island.

Please contact me at zofia@zofiaphoto.com with your bio for more information!

Thanks!

• I Love Music.

Though this blog is intended to showcase my recent work to my past, present, future clients, as well as other photographers/vendors (and my mom)... I've been thinking it needs a bit more personality. You've all guessed that I have a darling little pixie named Ava. She may be considered a bit of a mascot for Zofia Photography. Yes, you all know that. But I'm not just a photographer and a mom. I forget that sometimes. I love to travel. I've shown some of that here. Recently, even. I love other things too and I'll be sure to post about those here from time to time.

So, since it's the dead of winter, I've been on iTunes and youtube all morning. Well, everyday, to be honest. I'm looking for new music and finding TONS through Pandora.com too.

If this isn't your cup 'o tea, post what you're into.

So, I've started with Phoenix, Arcade Fire, and MGMT as the base. Here's what I love that rocks my ears off.
