• Ethan's 1st Birthday Party! (Year in the Life)

Ethan is one! I finished up his Year in the Life Collection at his first birthday party on the beach at Miacomet.

(For the record, his eyes are little dark brown marbles, I did not touch them up.) Check it out, he's walking!

• Baby Nico!

Nico was born August 6th. I think he's a spitting image of his big brother Cosmo. He's a tiny cutie pie.

This is session #2 of his Year in the Life Collection. Here he is at 10 days. 

Oh, those tiny hands and feet. So sweet.

I love his expression in these next two.

Cosmo tells me "I don't think Nico likes his picture taken."

Ava had a little better luck a few seconds prior!

• My Girl in Black + White.

It's been a crazy busy summer. Far, far, far exceeded my expectations. I'm not complaining one bit, but unfortunately I feel like I haven't spent as much quality time with Ava as I'd like. I took a beach day with her today and it felt good. 

I think an Ava post is in order!

• Emily + Henry's Nantucket Engagement Session.

Emily and Henry are getting married on Nantucket next year! We strolled around downtown then headed off to Steps Beach for their session. We found lots of nice nooks to shoot in. This time of year is awesome for color on island. Flowers are in bloom, the trees are green, life is good!

• Julie + Sean Connely's Berkshire Wedding

Sweet. 

That's the one word that kept popping into my head as I drove around Egremont, MA, in the Berkshires, where Julie and Sean were married. Rolling hills, tall trees, antique shops, used book stores, little diners, big barns and long winding roads. It smelled good. I really enjoyed it. Very sweet.

Julie and Sean were married on her grandparent's property overlooking lots of lush green on August 9th, 2008.

On to the details.

Here's the best reason for adding a second shooter to your Collection. While the fabulous Earl Christie was shooting the guys...

...I was taking care of the girls. Who wants to miss out on those moments?!

(Yes, that's the one and only Brianne on the left! Julie was her maid of honor last year. Stay tuned for her latest beach family portrait session, coming shortly.)

Flower girl Emily was all smiles, all day. I love all the phantom hands and feet in this one!

While I was shooting the ceremony here...

Earl was getting a different angle. Sure beats having me run circles around the crowd, doesn't it? ;)

We also had the same vision when it came to the portraits of the guys and girls, TALL trees! The ladies were with me, men were with Earl!

I really loved the sweet country feel.

Green always makes me happy. Isn't Julie a beauty?!

Congratulations guys! I had a hard time fitting into your suitcase, guess you'll have to enjoy St Lucia without me this time. :) Have fun!
