• A Day at the Aquarium.

While in CT today, my mom and I decided to take Ava to Mystic Aquarium. Perfect for an almost 3 year old! She loved every second of it. Here are the highlights.

• Go Green.

Anyone who knows me knows I love green. My eyes are green, my wedding ring is green, I used to drive a green car, I wear a lot of green, spring time is my favorite, etc. If I were at my office this week, my green logo would be on the following image!

Green means something else too. It means caring about the world we live in. If I were to buy a car today, it would be a Prius or a Escape hybrid. Green, of course. Organic foods are very important to me, so is recycling and leaving the smallest carbon footprint that I can. It's getting easier and easier to go green. Many companies are catching on.

• A Beautiful Bride.

• Greene Family Portrait, Nantucket

Good morning sunshine, you don't scare me! I often hear, from fellow photographers, that they are afraid to shoot on the beach at anytime except right before sunset, because of the harsh light. I say, make harsh light your friend! I simply put the sun behind or to the side of my subjects, add a little flash and wave my magic wand around in Photoshop, and VOILA a 10am beach portrait is indeed possible.

I think I obsess a little about weather this time of year. I get so excited to see green grass and flowers finally blooming after a grey winter! We found the perfect setting to show what the beginning of spring looks like on Nantucket. Lots of green and yellow!

We took a walk at the UMASS Nantucket Field Station for Nate's birthday today. It finally felt like spring!

Kelly and Todd's wedding was Saturday at the Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson, CT. It really couldn't have been a nicer event! Kelly looked gorgeous, Todd was cool as a cucumber, the venue and staff were great and the weather was perfect!
