    Jill and John's Nantucket Wedding.

Jill and John were married Thursday, June 19th. The ceremony was quaint and beautiful, on the beach at The Wauwinet. The reception was a clambake, held Saturday at Jetties. The sunset Saturday night was one of the best I have ever seen on Nantucket. Every color, 360 degrees of painted sky. Here are some of my favorites.

    Jennifer and Gavin's Wedding.

Jennifer and Gavin were wed at the Lighthouse Inn, in West Dennis this Saturday. They are the southern belle and the gentleman. It was a perfect Cape Cod wedding. We enjoyed a bit of a breeze, just enough to keep the heat down.

Kelley and Terry's Nantucket Engagement Session.

    "A Stroll Through Downtown Nantucket"

Kelly and Terry came out to the island on this gorgeous weekend for their engagement session. We took a nice walk around downtown and ended up at Steps Beach. They were sad to leave, but their wedding is only a few weeks away, so they'll be back soon! Check out Kelley's beautiful jewelry designs at KEP Designs online.

I couldn't whittle my favorites down to less than ten!

    What I'm Reading.

Not that I actually have time to read in July, what with work and the beach getting in the way! I've decided to take some internet time and put it back into old school book reading. I've picked up my old standby "The Art of Happiness", by HH the Dalai Lama and "9 Steps to Financial Freedom", by Suze Orman. Two very smart people who are helping me achive my ultimate goal of a happy and less stressful life. I highly recommend any and all books by either author.

    Katie and Joe's Wedding, 7/7/7.

Katie and Joe had a lovely wedding in Brewster, MA on the beach Saturday. Exactly my style, maybe because that's exactly how Nate and I did it nearly 2 years ago! Simple and sweet. They're quite the dancing duo, I might add. I photographed this wedding with Kerrie from Images by Kerrie.

    Support a Good Cause.

    (Paraphrasing from Jessica Claire's blog...)

Photographer David Hessemer is doing a blogathon today for his "Through Their Eyes" Africa project. He is going to be taking a team, including photographers David Jay and Jessica Claire, to Africa next year to areas of terrible strife. In addition to helping the people living there, they will also be teaching them to take photographs, in the hope of giving them a skill as well as to be able to see the world the way they see it. The photographs they take will be formed into a traveling exhibit all over the country.

It's really a fantastic project, however, it needs funding to make it happen! Today and tomorrow a large number of supporting photographers are running a blogathon to make that happen. The link where you go to donate and learn more about the project is:
