More Photos from the Whaling Museum

My favorites. I can't wait to photograph my next wedding at the Whaling Museum. I see it with a brand new pair of eyes!

    Jump Start Your Year!

This week was a great week. Claudia Kronenberg and Brea McDonald, (CKP), a very talented local photography studio, with Gordon McGregor, held a workshop on the island for 9 lucky folks. I learned so much and got the chance to meet wedding photographers from as far away as Texas. We spent a great amount of time learning how to prioritize our business goals and what to do to hone in our photography skills. Invaluable stuff. "Jump Start Your Year" is right. I'm pumped, motivated and excited for the 2007 wedding season. Here's just one picture of our beautiful model, Marie, at the Whaling Museum.

    I love new gear.

The nice UPS man just brought me my new lens, amongst other goodies. I like that guy. It's an 85 1.8, a lovely portrait lens. Ava couldn't care less, here's proof.

My winter/off-season goal WAS to shoot more outdoors. You know, snowy Nantucket harbors, etc. But I haven't seen a flake of snow since one day in November. Hmmm, global warming is no joke. The daffodils are a foot tall in my dentist's back yard. Of course if they bloom now, they won't bloom again in the spring. What kind of Daffodil Festival will that make?! Here's a picture of 'Sconset last year with a pretty white blanket over the beach.

    More Christmas fun.

I thought I'd show my favorite Christmas photo. These little kids, my babe and her cousins, were very uninterested in having their picture taken. Might have something to do with the 61 inch tv in front of them...

Also, here's a photo of my very favorite soup. I have many. It's a Polish Christmas tradition, at least at my family's house. Yummy Barszcz soup, made from beet stock, with little uszka, or "ears", mushroom tortellini. It's ridiculously good. Be nice, and I might just share the recipe!

    Little Blue Dot

Good morning everyone! I haven't written in a while. I knew when I started this that I wouldn't have too much to say until the wedding season picked up. Well it's New Year's Day. It's January 1st, 2007. I'm tired, yet I'm making an effort! Here's a great link someone posted online. "YOU ARE HERE", the little blue dot above the left ring. I thought it was very New Year's appropriate! Enjoy. Nasa's site
